A: The Motion Detection algorithm works almost
like the compression algorithm (see Q.
above). The first phase is the same, the only difference is in
the applied frame area: the
compression algorithm always processes the whole frame, but the
Motion Detection
algorithm may check the defined area only (in case of excluded
zones defined - Mask
Editor configuration tools). The second phase compares the number
of changed blocks
with the defined threshold (Motion Zone (Blocks)) value. If it
is exceeded - the recording
will be activated.
The setting of Motion detection parameters to utmost values (Motion
sensitivity to
maximum and Motion Zone (Blocks) to minimum) disables Motion detection.
Every
captured (incoming) frame will be recorded by the system in this
case.
